How did you get started running?  At mile 24 of my first marathon (which I was walking) I was told by a loving family member if I did not start running now I would not make the 6 hour cutoff. I ran the last 2.2 miles of the Twin Cities Marathon with a finish time of 5:59:54.

What is your most memorable race?  That is a toss up between the first marathon, or Spirit of Racine triathlon  in 2005 where we survived a seven plus hour race in 100 degrees.

What is your favorite work-out?   A nice long swim on a hot summer day with friends in a clear Minnesota lake where you can hear the loons in the distance and see the fish swimming below.

What is your favorite quote?  "Be careful out there, it is as dark as the inside of a cow" Words of advice from my Dad when we went out to play at night.

What are your hobbies?  Our two dogs, knitting, long bike rides, and travel to exotic places. 

What is your favorite ice cream?  Any expensive coffee flavored ice cream and if it has chocolate mixed in it is even better.
