StartLine Partners with Maple Grove Inaugural Half Marathon

Maple Grove – Start Line partnered with the Maple Grove Half Marathon to provide high-quality Brooks tech shirts to all half marathon finishers.  The inaugural running of the Maple Grove Half Marathon and 5K was on May 17, 2008.  Over 700 runners registered for the half marathon in its first year. "We wanted to offer our half marathon finishers a high-quality shirt to help make this a first class event right off the bat," says co-director Tom Kilzer, "Working with Ann at Start Line made this possible.  All the runners loved the shirts!

Employee Runs Marathon in Blizzard Conditions

NISSWA – The weekend was tough for Brainerd area residents as beautiful weather gave way to snow.  Ann Rhea, store manager for StartLine, along with her husband Charles participated in the inaugural Run for the Lakes Marathon held in the Brainerd lake area.  The Rheas started the race off in freezing rain, by the time they finished there was 10 inches of snow covering the path…in fact there was no path just foot prints of the last runner.   The marathon drew distance runners from as far away as Texas, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.
